Attention all home school families in the Prescott area Aug. 8, 2013!!! The 26th Annual AZ Cowboy Poets Gathering invites home school students and their families to join the Broken Chair Band at the Yavapai Community College in the Amphitheatre on Aug. 8, 2013 from 9-10 a.m.! 
ADMISSION IS FREE!!!
 
The Broken Chair Band are Todd and Melinda Carter, and their daughter, Dani Sue. Come and enjoy 'Americowboyfolkgrass' genre of original and traditional  songs and poetry in a family friendly venue. Learn cowboy heritage,  history and how it applies to our current culture.

Stay for the opening ceremony at  High Noon and attend the free open sessions from 1- 4 p.m., featuring the best regional and national talent of Western Music Association artists. Local talent include Gail Steiger, Chris Issacs, and Belinda Gail and award winning artists like Dave Stamey and Bill Barwick  (the voice of the Western Channel).   Admission is FREE for the open sessions on Friday and Saturday for day shows.  You will need to purchase tickets for the night shows featuring Baxter Black, Dave Stamey and Belinda Gail. It's Western Heritage, music, poetry and storytelling at its best done by real ranching families and working  cowgirls and cowboys!
